ScanFest Sneak Preview

It is almost Midsummer!

With midsummer around the corner it is time to update your kitchen items to match summer. Why not a cheese dome with a matching cutting tray and picks.
Are you serving herring this midsummer? Display on your table in a matching jar. Works great for your own homemade pickles too. I included a recipe for homemade pickles below. They taste just like when your grandmother made them.

Homemade Pickle Recipe:

1 English cucumber sliced thin

Syrup:

1 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup vinegar

1/2 tsp salt

Boil syrup until sugar has dissolved. Let cool. Pour over pickles and refrigerate.

Pickles will keep for weeks.

Enjoy!

Two new bunnies arrived yesterday from Bukowski AB. For those of you who are familiar with Bukowski know that it is great softness and quality of these adorable stuffed animals.

Andre is a larger bunny of almost 16" tall.

Baby Beauty is an all white precious girl bunny of 8" tall.

Either one would make a great gift in a baby shower basket for instance or why not for your own baby.

Raspberry Dream

2 cups raspberries
1/2 cup sugar
1 1/2 cups heavy cream

Directions
Place the raspberries in a medium bowl and slightly mash with the back of a large spoon. Add 1/4 cup of the sugar and stir gently.
Whip the cream with the remaining sugar to stiff peaks. Gently fold in the raspberries, leaving streaks throughout the cream.
Spoon the fool into individual dessert glasses or bowls.
